  • sending an email
  • completing an online form or survey
  • participating in online or in person events.

These guidelines have been developed to ensure engagement is respectful, constructive and inclusive.

Respectful behaviour

We all deserve to feel safe and to be treated with respect. The health, safety and wellbeing of our staff, contractors and stakeholders are of utmost importance.

When you interact with us, you can expect that we will provide efficient and respectful service. In return, we expect that you will be respectful and avoid unacceptable behaviour.

Respectful behaviour is:

  • using considerate and inclusive language
  • making contributions that are valuable, appropriate and relevant.

Unacceptable behaviour is:

  • conduct that is unreasonable or inappropriate
  • dialogue that is abusive, confrontational, discriminatory or offensive
  • any other behaviour that makes someone feel unsafe or at risk of physical or psychological harm.

We will take appropriate steps in response to unacceptable behaviour whether it is over the phone, online or at an event.

Steps may include:

  • communicating to you that the behaviour is not okay
  • ending the interaction if the behaviour continues.
