Pricing Framework for Australian Residential Aged Care Services
The Pricing Framework for Australian Residential Aged Care Services is used in the development of residential aged care and residential respite care pricing and costing advice to the Australian Government. The pricing framework underpins the approach used by IHACPA to develop our residential aged care pricing and costing advice.
Updated annually, it is informed by stakeholder submissions to the consultation paper. It is also published prior to the release of the residential aged care pricing advice, subject to agreement from the Minister for Health and Ageing. This supports transparency and accountability by making publicly available the principles, decisions and approach used to inform our recommendations to government.
The publication of the pricing framework is accompanied by a summary and analysis of key findings and stakeholder feedback in a consultation report.
