Legal 1 (Executive Level 1) - In-house Counsel

The In-house Counsel reports to the Director, Governance, Legal and Secretariat Services and plays a key role in supporting the organisation’s governance, compliance and operational objectives. The position is responsible for identifying and managing legal risks, providing timely and high-quality legal advice, and overseeing legal transactions across the agency. Legal services may be delivered directly by in house counsel or, where appropriate, through the effective engagement and management of external legal service providers.

Department of Health, Disability and Ageing Temporary Employment Register 2025/2026

Multiple positions

We are seeking talented people with a broad cross section of skills, experience and qualifications to register for our Temporary Employment Register (TER). 

The TER assists with filling temporary positions (up to a possible maximum period of 18 months) across Health, TGA and IHACPA and is open for candidates to register an interest in employment at the APS Level 2 – Executive Level 2 classifications. You don’t need to have experience in a government department or the health sector as our staff have backgrounds in a range of fields in both the public and private sectors.
