The guidelines set out the scope, funding, costing, counting and reconciliation of funding for the chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapy (CAR-T cell) immunotherapy program using the Novartis CAR-T product Kymriah. The CAR-T program is for paediatric and young adults (up to 25 years) with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) who relapse or do not respond to initial therapy.

Mental Health Phase of Care Clinical Refinement Project Final Report

Following the completion of the 2016 Inter-Rater Reliability (IRR) study to test the consistency of clinician application of the mental health phase of care, the poor to fair reliability outcome led to the commencement of the refinement project. The project aims to identify the reason for the poor IRR and to improve reliability. This report outlines the clinical findings and recommendations to refine the mental health phase of care. This report was approved by the Pricing Authority in November 2019.

The Independent Hospital Pricing Authority (IHPA) has developed the Australian Mental Health Care Classification Pricing Feasibility Report 2020–21 to provide an overview of the process undertaken by IHPA to shadow price admitted mental health services using the Australian Mental Health Care Classification (AMHCC) Version 1.0. IHPA has not included shadow price weights for community mental health services at this time.
