'Your feedback plays a vital role in shaping pricing advice that reflects the cost of delivering services to people from a wide range of backgrounds, life experiences and locations right across Australia. This includes people living in rural and remote locations, where service delivery conditions can vary significantly,' said Mr. Tune.
Feedback from previous consultations has also helped shape this year’s focus areas. This encompasses ways to strengthen future cost collections to better support participation, particularly from small providers and those who deliver services to people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and people with diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
The consultation also seeks input on cost pressures and supporting data required for delivering services to diverse groups. In addition, it explores the differences in provider cost pressures between the Commonwealth Home Support Program and Support at Home program.
Feedback gathered from this consultation will inform the Pricing Framework for Australian Support at Home Aged Care Services 2027–28, which outlines the principles, scope and methodology used to develop pricing advice for the Support at Home service list.
The public consultation closes at 5pm AEST Friday 10 April 2026.
