Development of a table of standard costs for conducting Clinical Trials in Australia: final report

The Australian Government established the Clinical Trials Action Group (CTAG), in October 2009, to boost Australia’s profile as a preferred destination for conducting clinical trials. The CTAG report, containing 11 recommendations endorsed by the Australian Government, was released by Ministers Roxon and Carr in March, 2011 with a commitment to implementation. Recommendation C of that report requires that the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority (IHPA) be directed to develop a table of standard costs associated with conducting clinical trials in Australia.
Strategic Review of the National Hospital Cost Data Collection

The NHCDC Strategic Review has been commissioned by the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority (IHPA) to assess the NHCDC's suitability as the primary data collection to determine the NEP, seek the views of stakeholders regarding issues with the current NHCDC and its future directions, and recommend a roadmap for the future.
AR-DRG Version 7.0

The Australian Refined Diagnosis Related Group (AR-DRG) Version 7.0 was implemented from July 1, 2014 and is the Australian Diagnosis Related Group (DRG) patient classification system that provides a clinically meaningful way of relating the types of patients treated in the hospital to the resources required by the hospital. AR-DRGs incorporate the ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS.

Pricing Framework for Australian Public Hospital Services 2013–14

In June 2012, the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority (IHPA) published the National Efficient Price Determination for 2012-13, and the Pricing Framework for Australian Public Hospital Services 2012- 2013 that underpinned the determination. In September 2012, IHPA released a consultation paper on key issues that IHPA was considering in the preparation of the Pricing Framework for Australian Public Hospital Services 2013-2014.

Definitions and cost drivers for mental health services project
